[brief plot synopsis]
When three beautiful women set out in a relaxing weekend retreat in the New Jersey woods, they unwittingly stumble upon a sadistic band of backwoods yokels. Taken prisoner by the matriarch and her demented sons, the women are forced into voyeurism, rape and fight back using anything they can get their hands on. Heads roll, blood spurts, and genitals are mutilated as the women use a myriad of household objects to do battle with the Mother's loving sons.

[good things]
The setting is typical for the 80's slasher genre. Deep in the woods, secluded, set in an old beat up house far away from any law enfocement. The movie, for the most part, is pretty sick and perverted, although it doesn't show much nudity or graphic scenes. The characters are really well done, in a way... they are mean, ugly and pretty unique.

[the bad]
Although there were a couple nice bloody scenes, the movie lacked blood and gore. The movie also lacked good acting. Most of the actors in the movie were first (and last) timers,\ it is a Troma movie, so in a way that is forgiven. I also felt so much more could have been done with the setting and the malevolence of the characters.

[final thoughts]
This movie may never get 5 stars from anyone, but it is one of the best slasher movies of the 80's, and scary enough it came from Troma. Most people mistake it for a Friday The 13th ripoff, but in reality it was more inspired by the success of Halloween (much like Friday The 13th). It was also shot at the same time Friday The 13th was shooting, in the same area, on the same lake at a Girl Scouts Camp across the lake from the Boy Scouts Camp Friday The 13th was shot at.
The special effects lacked in this movie, but it was hard to even notice them because they were very short lived, and perhaps that is a good thing. The story in my opinion was great. It really had a Friday The 13th feel to it in the beginning. Stalking, waiting until the right time to strike, and of course the mask Addley wore bore a striking resemblance to the sack head of Friday The 13th Part 2. A great job was made to make the villians ugly, mean and disgusting, a must own for slasher fans!

[my rating]
I give this movie 1.5 out of 5 for blood and gore.
3 out of 5 for the plot.
2 out of 5 for characters.
2 out of 5 overall.
